

To keep the original proportions of the object, hold SHIFT as you drag the tabs.

To resize a Word Art object, click on the image to select it and then drag one of the round tabs that will appear around the object. You can also use the edit functions on the Word Art toolbar. Now you can change the text, font type, font size etc. To edit a piece of Word Art that you have already created, click on the Word Art image and the Text dialog box will appear. Your text will then appear in the document. You can then click Bold or Italic to make all the text bold or italic. Here you can type your text and select the font and size that you want. Then the Edit Word Art Text dialog box will appear. In the Word Art Gallery dialog box select the style that you want. In Word 2007 the link is under "Insert" - "Text". On the toolbar click the logo that looks like an A on an angle. To open the Word Art toolbar click View – Toolbars – Word Art.

This may be used to good effect in creating a logo, heading or titles page. Word Art produces special text effects in a Microsoft Word document.
