That said, the mac and cheese balls from Trader Joe’s are my favorite for this recipe. (Don’t forget to adjust the air fryer time if they’re differently sized than the TJs ones.) You can also make air fried mac n cheese balls with Stouffer’s mac and cheese bites, the ones from Costco, or your favorite brand. I normally have lower expectations for frozen foods, but IMVHO these were restaurant quality.
